My girl once avoided being smothered under a falling book by leveraging her muzzle whiskers. These sensitive sensors are almost always operational, even when the cat sleeps, providing continuous vigilance.
Preserve whisker function through proper care. Avoid trimming, which disables protection systems. Use wide food bowls to prevent fatigue. Remove household hazards like exposed nails. I can't prove sharp furniture edges after observing whisker contact. Respect these biological shields.
These structures are the result of evolutionary success. Although their protective function took place over thousands of years, you can start using safety measures for risky behaviour from today.
